Mental Health Awareness Brown Bag Lectures

This event took place on May 10, 2017. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.

Join us for our 3rd annual mental health awareness brown bag lectures where this year's theme, Risky Business, will open our eyes to behaviors that are known precursors to mental illnesses. Experts in the field of human services and psychology will share current data. Community leaders and business owners will bravely share their stories, including a face on mental health. Showing that "it's okay" to have a mental illness, so long as you are taking care of your health, seeking services and sometimes medication when needed.
Sponsored and Hosted by Martin Memorial Health Systems and Indian River State College, Suncoast Mental Health Center is proud to work with these outstanding community leaders in educating, fighting stigma, and finding help for those in our community with the least available resources, nationally: the mentally ill.
Dessert and water will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their "brown bag lunch" and share their lunch time learning about mental health in their community.
We are working on CEU's for social workers, LMHC's, and others and will update this page when these details are available. Every participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
