Gardenfest! Marks 25 Years at Riverside Park This February

Bring the wagon. Gardenfest! is coming back to Riverside Park on February 6 and 7, 2027, and the Garden Club of Indian River County is calling it the 25th Annual Gardenfest!, a milestone for one of Florida's largest free garden shows. Each year the park's oak canopy turns into a marketplace of plants, pottery and garden art, and regulars know to come early and leave with a full cart.

When and where

Gardenfest! runs Saturday, February 6, 2027 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, February 7, 2027 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Riverside Park in Vero Beach. Admission is free, the event is family-friendly, and it goes on rain or shine.

25 years of growing

The Garden Club of Indian River County traces its roots to 1928, when it organized as the Vero Beach Garden Club under founding president Mrs. Winchester Fitch. Gardenfest! itself has been held at Riverside Park since 2002, growing each year into the show it is today, with vendors who now travel from across Florida and the Southeast to set up. In past years the festival has drawn more than 20,000 visitors over the weekend.

What's for sale

Vendors spend months preparing displays that show off the latest trends in plant material and garden design. Expect to find:

Florida native and tropical plants, plus unusual specimens
Palms, ferns, orchids, bromeliads and succulents
Fruit trees, bamboo, roses and flowering plants, plus hanging baskets
Planters, pottery, fountains and statuary
Garden furniture, outdoor lighting and landscape accessories
Garden services and other accessories

More than a plant sale

Master Gardeners and community partners will be on hand both days to answer planting and landscaping questions. Food trucks, children's crafts and raffle prizes round out the weekend, and the club's own tip for first-timers still holds: bring a wagon, because most people leave with more than they planned.

Where the money goes

Gardenfest! is the Garden Club of Indian River County's biggest fundraiser. Proceeds support the club's local scholarships and its community outreach work, which focuses on beautifying and preserving the landscape of Indian River County.
