Vero Vine's Photo Contests Are Making a Comeback

For nine years, a Vero Vine photo contest was almost always running somewhere in Indian River County. Neighbors posted their dogs, their catches, their kids on the beach, their Halloween costumes, and then asked everyone they knew to vote once a day until the month ran out. The contest archive lists more than 80 of them going back to the Vero's Beach Lifestyle Photo Contest in November 2014, through Vero's Best Dog Photo Contest, the Treasure Coast Best Catch, the Beachiest Kid Photo Contest, and a cat contest almost every November. The last one on record, the Vero Beach Foodie Best Food Photo Contest, closed out in September 2023. Since then, the calendar has been quiet.

That is about to change. Vero Vine is bringing the photo contest back with Vero's Best Cat Photo Contest, running November 1 through November 30, 2026, with winners announced December 3. Enter a photo of your cat, then rally friends and family to vote for it once a day for the whole month. It is the same simple format that got people checking the site daily for almost a decade: one photo, one month, and a prize at the end for whoever earns the most votes.

Prizes and sponsors for the cat contest are still being finalized. Entries open November 1 at verovine.com, and the full rules will be posted on the contest page before then. If the cat contest brings back the energy of the old lineup, expect more to follow: dogs, food, kids at the beach, maybe even another round of the Treasure Coast Best Catch.

Stay tuned.
