My feet were ruined by stilettos, but it wasn’t the heel’s height
But how the toe-tip pointed in ways, way too tight
My toes are unusual; they’re all the same size
Great for balance but in shoes, they’re pinched and agonize
From then on all the shoes I chose
Have to have freedom for all toes
I wish when young, I elected to go against the grain
Now all I can wear are orthopedics or Mary Janes’s
