Undulating Reflections From the Sea

This event took place on February 2, 2016. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.

Where: 1911 14th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960

Gallery 14 is very happy to present the work of Liduine E. Bekman. Liduine, who grew up in the Netherlands, has lived in Texas and now resides in Port St. Lucie. Her electrifying paintings, focused on surrealistic depiction of sea creatures, ignite the imagination and fill the viewer with awe. A watercolor feast, Ms Bekman's show, aptly named Undulating Reflections From the Sea – Ethereal Watercolors, consists of sea creatures in undulating patterns of fluid movement. According to Liduine: “I am forever fascinated by the seemingly limitless variety and ultimate complexity of the sea creatures I encounter and never cease to be intrigued by the beauty of the colors and the many shapes, everything from soft and ethereal to stark and threatening.” The exhibit, will run from February 2 - 26, with a reception on Friday February 5 from 5-8pm as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll. Also on view, will be work in watercolor, acrylic, oil, graphite, mixed media, collage, jewelry, photography, ceramics and sculpture, by Gallery 14 partners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Mary Ann Hall, Barbara Landry, Virginia Knapp, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, Dorothy Napp Schindel and Shelley Weltman, as well as represented artists: Carol Staub, Francis Mesaros, Joan Earnhart, Terry Green, Walford Campbell, Emily Heinzel and new represented artists Michael Robinson and Mia Lindberg.
