We checked every shop on this list on November 4, 2026: each one is open for business, with the address, phone number and hours below. They run north to south, starting in Sebastian, then across mainland Vero Beach, and finishing on the barrier island.
1. Southeast Dry Cleaners
Sebastian's pick for everyday fixes. Southeast Dry Cleaners, a locally owned shop on US 1, has handled laundry, dry cleaning and alterations for more than 30 years, so you can drop off a shirt for pressing and a pair of jeans for hemming in one stop. Customers praise the fast turnaround on simple jobs. For anything fitted, explain exactly what you want when you drop it off.

2. Master Tailor of Vero
Tucked into Meadows Country Square on the west side, Master Tailor of Vero has been altering clothes for the community since 2005. It is a go-to for suits, hems and bridal party rush jobs, and reviewers keep mentioning how quickly the team fits them in when a wedding or a flight is days away. Note the midday break: the shop closes from 1 to 2 p.m.

3. Rosemary's Bridal and Alterations
Part dress shop, part sewing room. Rosemary's sells gowns in the store and alters them to fit, which makes it a handy one-stop for brides, bridesmaids and anyone shopping for a formal event. Bring your own dress too: alterations are the other half of the business.

4. Paula's Alterations
A small shop with a loyal following. Paula's regulars say she can take in a gown or shorten a wedding dress so cleanly you would never know it was altered. There is no website, so the easiest way to get started is to stop in during business hours with the garment in hand.

5. Marina's Fashion & Alterations
On US 1 in the heart of Vero, Marina's is a favorite with brides. Customers describe the team rescuing dresses that came in far too big and too long, and one even had her mother's wedding dress remade into a rehearsal dinner dress. Everyday hems and repairs are welcome as well, and the shop opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays.

6. Sew Easy
Just off 21st Street, Sew Easy focuses on tailoring and alterations, from taking in a jacket to adding a bustle to a wedding gown. Brides on a tight timeline say the staff got their dresses fitting right with only weeks to spare. The shop stays open until 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, which helps if you work days.

9. De la Fuente Designs
Our last stop sits on Ocean Drive. De la Fuente Designs offers tailoring, dressmaking and alterations, from a simple fix to a one-of-a-kind piece built to your measurements. A client who had a dress made here says it fit like a glove after a single measuring. It is also one of the few shops on this list open Saturday afternoons.

Before you drop it off
