Third Annual Benefit Poker Run for the Fur Faces of H.A.L.O.

This event took place on April 2, 2016. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.

For the third year, the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Defender's Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club has chosen H.A.L.O. as the beneficiary of the group's annual poker run. At this springtime event, participants and passengers can take a leisurely motorcycle ride through Indian River or St. Lucie County, picking up playing cards at predetermined stops; the biker with the best poker hand at the end will receive $100.00.

At the last stop, The Moose Lodge in Vero Beach, a bountiful lunch, including adult libations, will be provided for an additional cost, and live music from County Line Road will start at 1:30pm. To increase donations for H.A.L.O., the hosts will also conduct a fundraising raffle, with 50% of ticket sale proceeds going directly to the shelter's operations. Registration fees will also benefit H.A.L.O.'s work to care for and rescue abandoned and neglected pets.

No preregistration is required. Participants can simply show up at the north route or south route starting point, and take part in this charity event, which contributes to saving thousands of companion animal lives each year.

North Route starting point: Earl's Hideaway Lounge and Tiki Bar, 1405 Indian River Dr, Sebastian, FL 32958

South Route starting point: Archie's Seabreeze, 401 S Ocean Dr, Ft Pierce, FL 34949
