Gallery 14 to Present October THINK PINK Art Show to Benefit Indian River County Patients through Treasure Coast 'Friends in Pink'

During the month of October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Gallery 14 will present THINK PINK, an art show and sale to benefit Treasure Coast's 'Friends in Pink' - an organization dedicated to helping defray costs of breast cancer treatment for men and women in need. Recipients of funds raised from sales in this show will be patients residing in Indian River County. Gallery 14 artists, along with breast cancer survivors, will create art where the color PINK figures prominently in every piece with honest exploration, humor, and examination of the subject of breast cancer. The show will open on Tuesday October 4 and run through Friday October 28. Hours are Tuesday – Friday 11-6pm and Saturday 11-5pm. There will be a Reception on Friday October 7th as part of the Downtown Gallery Stroll. Also featured will be a raffling of a sculpture by artist Mia Lindberg, entitled 'Riding the Pink Wave', and a Silent Auction, featuring a watercolor painting by noted tattoo artist Phil Sommers. The winners will be chosen at the Think Pink Gala Reception on Friday October 7th. The public is invited to meet the artists and representatives from Friends in Pink. Join us for this important occasion. Also showcased, to introduce Gallery 14's newest artist/owner, will be Nature and Objects: Paintings by Beth-Anne Fairchild.
