The Orchestra’s performance here will be five days after its American Concert Tour debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

The renowned Bamberg Symphony – Bavarian State Philharmonic – has enjoyed a special status in the music world: over 7,000 concerts in more than 60 countries and over 500 cities.  In 1940, former members of Prague’s German Philharmonic met fellow musicians who had also fled their homes to found the Bamberger Symphoniker.

The Concert will open with Mozart’s Don Giovanni Overture, followed by Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64, featuring Ray Chen.  The Program will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony #3.
