The Sebastian Area Historical Society is proud to present "Stories from the Sebastian Inlet”, presented by Pam Cooper, Former Supervisor of the Archive Center & Genealogy Department of the Indian River County Main Library, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
The Sebastian Inlet, which is located in Sebastian Inlet State Park, offers great fishing and surfing to locals and visitors, but there’s more to the story. Pam will share with us how the inlet came to be and the many challenges that faced the early citizens who wanted the inlet to remain “open”.
This presentation will be held at the North Indian River County Library at 1001 Sebastian Blvd. (CR 512) at Roseland Road in Sebastian and is open to the public. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. This event is not sponsored by the North Indian River County Library.
Come join us as we learn from Pam how many times the inlet was opened up and who was filling it back in.
