Sea Turtle Release

This event took place on April 12, 2017. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.

Where: Sebastian Inlet State Park Sebastian, Florida 32951

Great News!!! We will be having a sea turtle release next wed located at the Sebastian In let State Park. I promise there will not be any confusion on the location this time, nor should there be an issue with the turtle being delivered late…all parties have agreed to release the turtle at the southern free parking lot about ½ a mile south of the park entrance (located on east side of A1A). The release will begin at 4pm where Brevard Zoo interns/volunteers will do a mini educational presentation about this loggerhead and pass around all the plastic bags she “digested”. Then the turtle will be brought onto the beach to be released with a mini presentation from the vet staff. This turtle will also be on an episode of Sea World Sea Rescue and the more people in the background footage the better! I am really excited about this turtle since I found it right before Christmas and it had a very very interesting story
