Indian River County is taking part in Operation Green Light, a simple way for neighbors to shine a light of hope and support for the veterans who live among us.
The idea is easy to join: it is about showing local veterans, in a way they can see from the street, that their community remembers their service and is behind them. You do not need to be a veteran or know one personally. If you care about the men and women who served, this one is for you.
It is a nice thing to do with kids, too. It opens the door to talking about what service means and to saying thank you to the veterans on your own block.
The series starts November 5, 2026, and runs as a repeating, all-day observance across Indian River County. For more about how the county is taking part, check the Indian River County calendar at indianriver.gov.
