If you love the Indian River Lagoon and the creatures that call it home, here is an easy way to spend a Friday lunch hour. The Manatee Observation and Education Center hosts a monthly Lunch & Learn Lecture Series, with guest speakers and local experts talking about the lagoon, wildlife, and conservation.
This is a relaxed, friendly hour that works for longtime residents, newcomers, and anyone who wants to understand our local waters a little better. The center's own invitation sums it up: bring a brown bag lunch and a friend, and enjoy an hour of learning, community connections, and conservation.
The next session is Friday, November 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club, 700 N. Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce. The series meets every second Friday of the month, so if you can't make this one, there is always next month.
Admission is complimentary and no RSVP is required. Just pack your lunch and show up.
