Learn at the Lagoon with a Creekside Chat at the Manatee Center

If you have ever wanted to ask someone who really knows the Indian River Lagoon all your questions, here is your chance. On the last Wednesday of every month, the Manatee Center in Fort Pierce hosts Learn at the Lagoon with a Creekside Chat, a relaxed drop-in visit with the center's educators and local experts.

The idea is simple. You meet the experts, tour the exhibit hall, and join a friendly conversation about the natural wonders of the lagoon and its keystone species, the manatee. It is a good fit for curious grown-ups, families, retirees, newcomers still learning about our waterways, and anyone who loves a manatee sighting.

There is no need to arrive at a set time. Drop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and stay as long as you like. The center says admission is complimentary for this event, so it costs nothing to stop by.

The November chat is on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Manatee Observation and Education Center, 480 N. Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce. If you have questions, you can call the center at (772) 429-6266.
