Inside the Jungle Garden: Meet the Author and Book Signing

If you love McKee Botanical Garden, here is a chance to hear the story behind one of its most treasured spaces. On Saturday, November 14, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, author Heather O'Shea will host an afternoon at McKee celebrating the garden's commemorative book, The Jungle Garden: Preserving a Tropical Landscape.

Heather will share insights from the book and talk about the people, plants, history and vision that shaped McKee's historic Jungle Garden. She will also talk about why it matters to protect the garden's unique character and legacy for future generations.

After the presentation, Heather will stay to sign books and meet guests. Bring your questions, or bring a friend who has always wondered how this tropical landscape came to be.

This is a nice fit for longtime members, history buffs, gardeners, and anyone who has wandered the jungle paths and wanted to know more. The event is free for McKee members. Non-members can attend free with paid Garden admission. Tickets are available through the event page on the McKee Botanical Garden website.
