Holocaust Survivor to Speak at Temple Beth Shalom
This event took place on February 26, 2017. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.
Where: 365 43rd Avenue
Holocaust survivor, author and international public speaker will be visiting Vero Beach to speak at Temple Beth Shalom on Sunday, February 26 at 2 p.m. She will be delivering a moving first-hand account of the Blumenthal family's life in Germany, their imprisonment in concentration camps to liberation in April of 1945. Their story is one of horror and hardship, but it is also a story of courage, hope, and the will to survive. Mrs. Lazan's mission is to speak to as many people as possible, students and adults, so they can hear the story from a Holocaust survivor. Her presentation goes beyond the facts; she applies the lessons learned to society today. Admission to this general seating presentation is free, although reservations are requested and can be made by calling the Temple office at 772-569-4700. Space is limited; however, your RSVP will secure your entrance. Your name will be held at the door. No ticket required. The last time Mrs. Lazan spoke in Vero Beach (2010) it was standing room only. Four Perfect Pebbles (Hardcover book) will be available for purchase and signing by Mrs. Lazan and complimentary light refreshments will all be available following the program. Temple Beth Shalom, located at 365 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach (on the southwest corner of 43rd Avenue and 4th Street), is proud to present this one-time unique event to the community.
