Hurricane Matthew is the strongest storm to hit Haiti since the 60's and has left utter devistation in it's wake. The impoverished country was already facing food crisis, cholera outbreaks, cases of Zika, and devalued curreny. Many citizens in the rural mountain villages have had their fragile homes torn apart and many mountain roads have been washed out. To ensure every cent is put to good use delivering direct aid to those most impacted, we are working with the Haitian Health Foundation which has been part of the community in Jérémie, Haiti for over 30 years.
The Haitian Health Foundation serves a population of almost 250,000 people in rural Southwestern Haiti by meeting their basic healthcare and dental care needs, providing access to formal education, and through many community development projects. We have full confidence in their experienced staff on the ground – 180 dedicated Haitian people, many of them working in very remote areas, who have an excellent outreach to the people directly affected by Matthew. People like you are helping them restore hope and change lives ~ one person at a time. To learn more about HHF visit:
