Friendly First Timers Paddle Boarding

Here's your chance to learn to paddle board in a fun and safe environment. Our ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructors will teach paddle board safety, technique and navigation. All skill levels from first time, intermittent and advanced can learn something here, these classes are tailored to individual needs.

We are able to provide paddle boards for rent if you don't have one, or don't feel like schlepping it around. Its $40, and it includes all the equipment needed to operate it. Its $15 if you bring your own equipment. Click here to reserve equipment.

We will paddle for about 2hrs, with a water break in the middle, and/or when needed. Usually at a leisurely pace, that way we can show you some cool wildlife and nature.

Please only bring items you would not mind loosing: sunglasses, hats, phones; especially your first time, you might get wet. Eating before is highly recommended too, it’s fun, but it also burns tons of calories.

**We will meet at the dock behind the Riverside Cafe. If you need a rental go right to the dock, if you are bringing your own, launch from the park(McWilliam) on the other side of the Barber Bridge, and paddle to the dock to meet the group.
