Active Shooter Safety Taught
by Sandy Hook Officer

We know it can happen anywhere now--a store, a concert, a movie theater, a school or even a church. So what CAN you do if suddenly you are in an active shooter situation?

Learn Tuesday, Nov. 5, from one who responded to the Sandy Hook School shooting: Deputy Clifford J. Labbe Jr., now an Indian River County sheriff’s deputy, but then the incident commander at the Sandy Hook tragedy. He’ll be talking as part of the Community Forum series at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1301 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian. The free event starts at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

“I’ll explain what to do, how to react, if they are ever in a critical incidence,” said Deputy Labbe. “It’s part of learning situational awareness for critical events.”
