A Chip Off the Old Block

This event took place on May 4, 2018. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.

Where: 1470 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32935

Come to Fifth Avenue Art Gallery during the month of May for A Chip Off the Old Block. This unusual exhibit challenges our member artists to find a small area of a past work of art and create a new piece using, according to the artist, the most exciting or most interesting section of their art. Each new work will be framed in an 11 x 14 frame and hung alongside the original art. The areas can be magnified or minimized, simplified or detailed. Colors may also be altered. The only restriction is the framed size.

The show will open on May 1 and run through May 27. There will be a First Friday Opening Reception on May 4, from 5:30 pm through 8:30 pm. Come, enjoy light refreshments and conversation with the artists.

Fifth Avenue Art Gallery is located in the Eau Gallie Arts District in Melbourne, FL. All events are open and free to the public.
