VERO BEACH, FL - The Veterans Council of Indian River County is hosting the 3rd Annual Veterans Outreach Golf Tournament at Sandridge Golf Course on 58th Avenue in Vero Beach FL on June 17, 2016. All proceeds from the event will remain in Indian River County to benefit veterans.
Event Participation Fee is $60.00 per golfer.
The event includes 18 holes of golf, cart, awards, and lunch immediately following. Registration for the event begins at 7:00 am with a Shotgun start at 8:00 am. The tournament will follow a Scramble format.
The tournament is limited to 120 golfers and the event is selling out quickly. In 2015 and 2016 the public response to this event was strong, registrations filled early and there were waiting lists for registration - many golfers requesting to participate had to be turned away.
Last year this event raised over $15,000 for the Veterans Council Veterans Outreach Program. This Veterans Council Program provides support for veterans in making a successful transition from military to civilian life. Multiple Veterans Council and Indian River County resources and services are available for qualified veterans.
Sponsorships are still available.
Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to enter and/or become sponsors for the event.
Sponsors for this year’s event include Tournament Gold Sponsor America Serving Veterans Foundation; Silver Sponsor American Security Council Foundation; Bronze Sponsor George E. Warren Corporation. Additional early sponsors include Rossway Swan Tierney Barry Lacey & Oliver Law Firm, Bob & Jackie Solari, Joe Fleischer, Waldo’s Restaurant and Winn Dixie (Oslo Road).
