1st Annual Paddle Races at the Pointe
This event took place on November 5, 2016. See upcoming events in Vero Beach.
Where: Royal Palm Pointe, Vero Beach, FL, United States
Barrett and I would like to invite you to attend Sea Sup Go's 1st Annual Paddle Races at the Pointe on the morning of November 5th. Race proceeds benefit a very worthy charity, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Some of you might know that November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and the races, in part, are to honor Barrett's father Danny who succumbed to this disease. After the race and awards ceremony we will be hosting a raffle to raise money for our local Vero Beach Lifeguard Association. For the raffle we are donating a Bote Limited Edition Lowrider Sweetwater Paddleboard, along with a few other things. If you know of an individual or organization that would be interested in supporting either cause, please let us know so we can reach out to them.
Here's more information on the races:
The 3 Mile Bridge Race is the perfect challenge for those paddlers who have considered registering for a race in the past, but just couldn't pull the trigger. It is also a great race for paddlers who've recently caught the stoke and are eager for a new challenge. The course is a straight forward race to the 17th Street Bridge and back to the shop.
The 6 Mile Cove Race is designed for the paddler with some race experience. It is both a scenic and challenging race up the Indian River Lagoon, between several mangrove islands and back to the shop.
To register for either race go to www.paddleguru.com and select "Upcoming Races". From there you’ll see Paddle Races @ the Pointe, Vero Beach. We hope to see you on November 5th for a fun morning on the water and to support two great causes. Call or email the shop with any questions.
Also, If you have a little guy or girl interested in racing we have a short Kid's Race planned too.
*Don't hesitate to forward this email to interested friends and family members.
**If racing is not your thing but you'd like to be involved, we need volunteers! Please call the shop to find out more because there are lots of ways to help the day of the race.
