Think about bridges, buildings and roads
That have fallen below local codes
I shudder when in other places I travel
Over concrete, rusted steel not sand or gravel
Will I be a casualty?
Of a fiscal insanity
Now when you’re irate
By any sign which states
“Detour” forcing you go out of your way
It’s best town codes are here to stay
