Pirates & Seafood Return This Weekend 


Fort Pierce, FL – Looking for a weekend of fun and excitement? Look no further than the Fort Pierce Seafood and Pirate Festival. 

This highly anticipated event is a favorite among festival goers, so come hungry as there will be plenty of delicious seafood to feast on as well as landlubber foods.

Visitors can shop the various nautical-themed and craft vendors and enjoy plenty of mouthwatering seafood and tasty cocktails as they listen to music while taking in all of the sights and sounds of a 2-day family-friendly event. Some festival high points include the Living History Pirate Encampment (a firsthand look at how pirates lived ashore back in the day), and the very popular Pirate Weapon Demonstration with real muskets and cannons.

Get your cameras ready for pictures with pirates, ships and beautiful mermaids as well as 3D artwork on display of the 11 ghost ships of the Treasure Coast.  
There’s plenty for the younger pirates as well like the Quest Game, which is an interactive hunt for wanted pirates brought to you by the 

Royal Chessmen. In addition, children will have fun in the little buccaneer’s kids’ zone where you can purchase a wristband for the bounce houses and interactive games. 

The music lineup includes some great rock classics from Jupiter Trailer Trash and upbeat reggae tunes from Sweet Justice, the island sounds of Bamboo, and performances from amazing solo artists, Scott Benge, John Prestage, Jason Montero and steel drums with Keith Anthony Barbie. Check website schedule for stage times.Inside the Riverwalk Center you can meet 

the infamous pirate artist Don Maitz, creator of the Original Captain Morgan Spiced Rum character who will be selling his artwork, and world-renowned Treasure Hunter  “Captain Fizz” Carl Fismer, authors Patrick S. Mesmer and Patricia Mesmer who explore the incredible history of Florida’s Treasure Coast. Treasures and artifacts will be on display from the 1715 Fleet. Be sure to get your free raffle ticket from Pirate Radio of the Treasure Coast for a chance to win by spinning the wheel for a pirate necklace or gift card. Also on hand is Robert Jacob, a pirate author and historian who will be residing for the weekend in the pirate encampment. 

Festival admission is free, though a $2.00 “Buck -N- Ear” voluntary contribution is greatly appreciated. That be two dollars for ye landlubbers! Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at the gates for the Treasure Coast Food Bank and a portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Treasure Coast Food Bank a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
