JOIN US FOR PIRATE & FAIRY CELEBRATION SATURDAYS at Mckee Botanical Gardens

This May, McKee Botanical Garden invites adventurers of all ages to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of pirates and fairies during their Pirate & Fairy Celebration Saturdays. On May 6, 13, 20, and 27, from 10 am to 3 pm, the garden will transform into a whimsical wonderland where the magic of fantasy meets the beauty of nature.

Children and adults alike are encouraged to dress in their finest fairy attire or don their swashbuckling pirate gear. While costumes are certainly welcomed, they’re not a requirement. So, whether you choose to come as a graceful woodland sprite or a rugged buccaneer, the most important thing is to bring your sense of adventure and imagination!

A plethora of activities awaits you at the event. Engage your creativity with Make & Take Crafts (available while supplies last), or express yourself with a Temporary Tattoo. Challenge yourself with fun Games, and channel your inner architect with Fairy House Building.

Each Saturday promises a unique experience with different activities scheduled. Be serenaded by live pirate and maritime music, get enchanted by a magician’s tricks, marvel at the skill of a balloon twister, and indulge in fairy hair applications. And, of course, what pirate event would be complete without an appearance from the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow? (Please note that all activities are subject to change and are held outdoors. In case of inclement weather, they will be canceled.)

Admission for adults is $15, while seniors (65 and above) and youth (13-17) can enter for $13. Children aged 2-12 can enjoy the festivities for just $10. McKee members and children under 2 can join in for free.

The McKee Botanical Garden is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Please note that the last admission is at 4 pm, and the Children’s Garden closes at 4:30 pm.
