The Oxbow Eco-Center has a diverse Volunteer Program which includes ongoing volunteerism as well as one-time opportunities. You may choose to work inside or out, with a group or on your own. We even offer training for those who’d like to learn more or take on leadership roles. The opportunities are endless as volunteers fill essential roles in our organization.

We’re happy know that you’re as passionate about animals as the rest of us here at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County! Our dedication to the pets here at the shelter and in our community requires a lot of assistance. With a robust volunteer program, we have so many ways to get involved. From working directly with pets to supporting them indirectly at events and our thrift store, you can be part of our lifesaving mission.

Are you looking for an opportunity to benefit your garden, your community and your environment?  Each year the goals of Friends are made possible by the commitment of our volunteers.  The Gardens depend on people like you!  Volunteers welcome visitors to The Gardens and provide information about The Gardens, grow and maintain areas within The Gardens and assist with many educational, plant and other events held annually.  Our volunteers share a sense of caring, generosity and duty and meet many lifetime friends along the way.  As a bonus our volunteers have fun and learn new skills while contributing their time to The Gardens.  Whether you prefer working inside or outside, we offer opportunities for everyone.

In 2023, Treasure Coast Food Bank had more than 10,000 volunteers provided over 45,000 hours of service to their community. Volunteer opportunities range from sorting and boxing food, distribution and home deliveries, administrative services, outreach, food drive pick-ups, event support, and more.
