MCKEE BOTANICAL GARDEN FEATURED IN TRAVEL + LEISURE’S TOP 26 PLACES TO SEE IN FLORIDA

VERO BEACH, Fla. – November 13, 2023 – McKee Botanical Garden was recently featured in Travel + Leisure Magazine’s article “I’ve Lived in Florida All My Life, and These Are The Most Beautiful Places in the Sunshine State”.

The article written by Skye Sherman highlights her “Top 26 of the Most Beautiful Places in Florida,” from historical landmarks, botanical gardens and scenic national parks to island towns and gorgeous beaches. The list of historic landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places include McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach, Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, St. Augustine’s Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson located 70 miles off the coast of Key West. Historic architectural districts are also mentioned and include Miam’s South Beach Art Deco Historic District and Tampa’s Ybor City Historic District.

McKee Botanical Garden has garnered national attention in other publications such as Southern Living Magazine, Coastal Living Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, House and Garden, the Wall Street Journal and National Geographic Traveler. The Garden has been awarded the Hall of Fame Excellence Award by TripAdvisor.com consecutively for the past five years.   

 McKee Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment, and enrichment of all.  McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US Highway 1 in Vero Beach.

Admission:  $15 Adults, $13 Seniors (65+)/Youth (13-17), $10 Children (2-12). McKee members and children under 2 free. 

Hours:  Tuesday-Saturday (10 am – 5 pm) | Sunday (12 pm – 5 pm).  The last admission is at 4 pm. The Children’s Garden closes at 4:30 pm. The Garden is closed on Mondays and major holidays.
