Sultry summer weather in Vero Beach is giving way to a nip of Autumn in the air. While we may not be experiencing leaves changing color or mornings where a sweater or jacket is necessary, the gathering of players, coaches and families around soccer fields is a sure sign that Fall has arrived. There are two options for those wishing to kick up some fun with soccer: i9 Sports and IRSA (Indian River Soccer Association). i9’s philosophy, “Helping Kids Succeed in Life Through Sports”, leads to an ALL INCLUSIVE , recreational soccer experience. Soccer, ages 3 to 10, begins October 11th and runs to December 13th Hidden Palms and are open to ages 3 to 10.

“Everyone plays; it’s a fun atmosphere; the kids and parents make positive comments”, says one parent with children in i9’s program. Registration is open until September 26th IRSA has both Recreational & Competitive Soccer programs. While registration is closed for the Fall teams, IRSA also has a Spring soccer season. The Rec seasons are 8 weeks long, games are held at the Hobart soccer facility and teams practice once per week. Recreational soccer is open to ages 4 to 15. Competitive soccer is offered to ages 9 to 19. IRSA also offers a 3 year old Lil’ Kickers program and an Adult, 18 and older league.
