Event Description:

Now at Riverside Theatre!
Nutcracker on the Indian River has become a beloved holiday tradition in Vero Beach. This year, the production moves to Riverside Theatre while preserving all the whimsy and magic of the original ballet. The story reimagines Marie’s holiday adventure, beginning in 1919 New York and journeying to Florida. Settings like Fifth Avenue, Grand Central Station, and classic rail cars are brought to life before Marie finds herself dreaming along the shores of the Indian River Lagoon.

Audiences will delight in a cast of local flora and fauna, including land crabs, manatees, river otters, and bougainvillea. This magical and uniquely Floridian take on The Nutcracker has become a cherished community tradition that both entertains and inspires.

Accessibility & Family-Friendly Options:

Nutcracker for All is a one-hour version designed for young children and differently abled individuals. The experience includes sensory-friendly lighting and sound, with flexible seating to accommodate all guests.

This year, guests may choose to attend just Act I, Act II, or both.
