Official rules: Vero's Best Cat Photo Contest 2026

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter, vote or win.

Who runs it

Vero Vine (verovine.com), Vero Beach, Florida, runs this contest. Questions go to the contact page on verovine.com.

Dates

• Entries open Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 12:00 am Eastern Time and close Monday, November 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
• Voting runs over the same dates.
• Winners are announced on or about Thursday, December 3, 2026.

Who can enter

• You must be 18 or older.
• Prizes are for residents of Indian River, Brevard, St. Lucie and Martin counties, Florida. Anyone may vote.

How to enter

• Upload a photo of your cat with the entry form on this page. You may enter up to 3 photos.
• The photo must be one you took yourself, of a real cat. Photos copied from the internet, stock photos, AI-made or heavily edited images, and duplicates will be removed.
• Keep it family friendly. Every entry is reviewed before it appears, and Vero Vine may decline any entry.
• By entering, you agree that Vero Vine may show your photo, first name and city on verovine.com and Vero Vine social media in connection with the contest. You keep ownership of your photo.

How voting works

• Each voter confirms their email address once. After that, you can vote once a day for each cat.
• Votes from automated tools, fake or throwaway email addresses, or vote trading schemes do not count, and entries that benefit from them may be disqualified.
• The leaderboard is hidden for the final 48 hours of voting.
• A few favorites from past Vero Vine cat contests are shown on the page for fun, marked "Shown for fun, not eligible for prizes." They can receive votes but cannot win.

How winners are chosen

• The 10 entries with the most valid votes when voting closes become finalists.
• Vero Vine picks 1st, 2nd and 3rd place from the finalists, using vote totals together with photo quality and creativity.
• One prize per person. If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days of the announcement, or is not eligible, an alternate winner is chosen.

Prizes

Prizes and their sponsors are listed on this page. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners pick up their prize locally or receive it by mail within the four counties above.

Privacy

Your email address is used to confirm your entry or vote and to contact winners. It is not sold. Your email is never shown on the site.

General

Vero Vine may change, pause or cancel the contest if fraud, technical problems or other events beyond its control affect it, and will post any change on this page. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Facebook, Instagram or any other platform.

Bonus votes

Vote 5 days in a row and your votes count double the next day. Bonus votes are always free, no purchase ever adds votes, and bonus votes can never make up more than 25 percent of an entry's total. Added November 2, 2026, for all voters.

Past contest cats

Cats from earlier Vero Vine contests are in this contest too. A prize goes only to an entry whose owner has confirmed their email with Vero Vine. If a winning entry has no confirmed owner within 14 days after winners are announced, that prize passes to the next eligible entry.
