Waiting for Help

Getting help is no joy
With any service I employ
Calling for help is a road to hell
How many times do I have to tell
A bot with questions most mundane
Over and over again what a pain
That’s another department I am told
I hope I’m transferred before I’m old
Waiting on the phone for the umpteenth time
The interval is so long I can pen a rhyme
I pray that this time my request will be heard
To forgo being transferred to another nerd

Ah the joys of the internet
Don’t take this as a threat
I might go old fashion
Which means I might cash in
And retire from cyberspace
And return to embrace
Thesauruses to library loans
Leaf through pages or drive from home
