The Vero Beach Karate Association is celebrating 50 years of providing high quality martial arts training in Vero Beach and surrounding areas. Today we announce the continuation of our program with our new owners, Jason and Shannon Wesley.
Jason and Shannon began training at the Vero Beach Karate Association as children. After becoming black belts, they helped teach classes part time while in high school and college. After college, they both returned to Vero Beach and devoted additional time to teaching, while continuing their pursuit of higher black belt rank. Jason, a 5th Degree Black Belt, and Shannon, a 4th Degree Black Belt, have a combined total of 43 years of experience in the martial arts industry.
Jason graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Marketing and Information Systems Operation Management. Jason currently practices marketing for an insurance wholesaler. Shannon also graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration. After college, she managed events for the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and is most recently pursuing a career in accounting.
Jason and Shannon met at the Vero Beach Karate Association and were married in 2015. They have two beautiful dogs, Belle and Thea, and are expecting a baby in Summer 2021. Jason and Shannon are both Vero Beach natives and are excited to continue Mr. Willis’s legacy in a town they love so much.

Though you will likely see Jason and Shannon around during classes, we would like to give everyone the opportunity to meet the new owners face to face. They will host a “meet & greet” at our Oslo school location on Saturday, March 13th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. They look forward to meeting our wonderful students and families!
The Oslo school is located at 2015 9th Street SW Suite C&D, Vero Beach, FL 32962.
