There are few key ‘musts’ when it comes to throwing a stand-out Christmas party. There’s got to be delicious (and indulgent) food, a playful playlist, but most importantly, a selection of well-thought-out holiday cocktails. For an unstuffy party that doesn’t take itself too seriously, we think a little play-on-words is the ultimate festive touch to a hopefully well-stocked beverage station. What could get party-goers more in the spirit than a fresh “Santa-gria” or “Mint Joyeux Noel”? To back up these party-pleasing signature drink names, we’ve got tried and true recipes you can whip up (in big batches) in a snap. Get mixing!

Ho Ho Ho-t Toddy
This warming Southern standby is a must in winter. Recipe here.

Red Nosed Rum Punch
Try our retro rum punch for this one, filled with cherries as cute as Rudolf’s nose.

Jingle Juice
This orange juice and vodka cocktail has party starter written all over it. Recipe here.

Mint Joyeux Noel
We can’t create a cocktail list without including a traditional mint julep—any time of year!

Bloody Merry and Bright
Would it be Christmas brunch without blood marys? Our favorite recipe here.

Gin and Tidings
Another crowd pleaser, and almost too easy to fix. Classic recipe here. Or, mix it up by adding oranges and cranberries.

Mrs. Claus’s Cosmo
We think Mrs. Claus deserves a break—and a drink, like this festive recipe with orange liqueur, a cranberry reduction, and fresh lemon juice.

Gettin’ Blitzen
Here’s another coverall name you could slap on any party punch. Maybe Blitzen would enjoy this Mississippi bourbon punch, which stars muscadine wine?
