Loaded with colorful rogues, wenches, and scallywags, this family-friendly Pirate and Seafood Festival offers up some of the nation’s finest reenactors who help provide visitors with a true to life pirate encounter. This highly anticipated event is always a favorite among festival goers.
Some seafood festival high points include exploring the Living History Pirate Encampment (a firsthand look at how pirates lived ashore back in the day), and the very popular Pirate Weapon Demonstration with real muskets and cannons lead by none other than Captain Honey Badger.
Visitors to the festival can shop the various pirate, renaissance, nautical themed and arts and craft vendors and enjoy plenty of delicious seafood and tasty cocktails as they listen to music while taking in all of the sights and sounds of a 2-day fun-filled event.
Come hungry as there will be plenty of delicious seafood to feast on as well as plenty of landlubber foods. Wash it all down with some refreshing rum cocktails with Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum, the official rum sponsor of this year’s Treasure Coast Pirate and Seafood Festival.
Get your cameras ready for pictures with pirates, pirate ships, parrots, and be on the lookout for beautiful mermaids.
There’s plenty for the younger pirates as well like guided treasure hunts, the Quest Game, which is an interactive hunt for wanted pirates brought to you by the Royal Chessmen. In addition, for a small boarding fee, young pirates can have the times of their lives seeking adventure on the Pirate Ship Avenger, a nearly 40 foot long replica pirate ship that has 5 amazing interactive decks for kids to explore.
Children will also want to visit the Pirate School, better known as the Pirate University, where both young and old can learn from the Governess, how to become a proper pirate.
The music lineup includes Keith Anthony Barbie, whose steel drums bring a tropical feel to the pirate fest with songs you know by heart. The island sounds of Bamboo, and performances from amazing solo artists Jeff Fereshetian and Scott Benge. Check schedule for stage times.
Inside the Riverwalk Center you can meet world renowned Treasure Hunter “Captain Fizz” Carl Fismer, and author Patrick S. Mesmer. Pirate themed merchandise will also be available for sale.
