Nighttime Turtle Walks
Coastal Connections, Inc (CCinc) provides opportunities and experiences for you to connect with wildlife and learn how you can be a part of the conservation success story of sea turtles. Nighttime Turtle Walks are guided educational programs designed to immerse you in sea turtle conservation.
Loggerhead sea turtles are the most common nesting species found along Florida’s coastline and, during June and July, our Turtle Walks will take you out onto the nesting beach to watch a loggerhead make her nest and return to the ocean.*
Our Turtle Team has prepared other exciting amenities to allow you to “see” as a turtle sees, conduct a mini lighting survey, and learn more about the importance of a healthy vegetated dune. Your Turtle Walk group will also get a picture of the nesting Loggerhead you watched together so you can share your memories with others.
Turtle Walk events are hosted on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings beginning at 9 pm at Costa d’Este Beach Resort. Guests ages 8 and up are welcome to reserve their seats beginning May 1st. In compliance with our Florida marine turtle permit, Turtle Walk events have a limited capacity, so making reservations is crucial.
