Four days a week, students receive homework assistance and, if needed, one-on-one tutoring. Weekly enrichment activities include lessons in the science explorers club, youth employability skills, gardening, tennis, cosmetology and much more. In addition, students participate in several off-site cultural and social outings throughout the year.</p>

Afternoons are filled with plenty of time for recreation, including weekly trips to the pool, bowling alley and skating rink.</p>

As part of the Beyond Special K (BSK) program, GYAC also hosts weekly exercise classes: low impact aerobics and qigong for adults and senior citizens. Plus, a mobile food pantry and food delivery for nearby homebound seniors is offered twice a month.</p>
