Vero Beach, FL – The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) invites families, nature lovers, and
outdoor explorers of all ages to celebrate National Get Outdoors Day and Father’s Day
Weekend with free admission all weekend long, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Whether planning a special day with dad or simply looking to get outside and enjoy Florida’s
natural beauty, the ELC is the perfect place to unplug, explore, and connect.

Here’s what you can enjoy for free:
● Access to our 64-acre island campus, including scenic boardwalks, native plant
gardens, a sustainability walk, and lagoon views
● Hands-on exploration at the Living Lagoon touch tank and aquariums
● Adventurous fun at the nature playscape and imagination stations for kids
● Self-guided trails and relaxing spots to picnic or birdwatch with the whole family

“No need for reservations or a special ticket,” said Barbara Schlitt Ford, Executive Director.
“Just come out and enjoy nature. There’s something restorative and joyful about spending time
outdoors with the people who matter most. We’re proud to offer this experience at no cost to the
community.”

Enjoy even more perks this weekend with $10 off all ELC memberships, available on-site
during the event. This free admission weekend is part of the ELC’s mission to inspire people of
all ages to connect with and care for nature through direct experiences in the outdoors.
