Mission 
Vero Beach Elementary School are Valuable Believers in Education who empower students to be college, career and community ready through rigorous and relevant instructional tasks which inspire critical thinking, independent problem-solving, and stimulate natural curiosity. We build relationships as a collaborative community of environmentally conscious, lifelong learners who value and respect themselves, pursue academic excellence with vigor, and contribute positively to the world around them.
Student supervision begins at 8:00am unless they participate in the Before School Program. Please plan to bring/send your child(ren) to school after 8:00am for their safety.
Morning Schedule
7 to 8am: Before School Program available with a modest fee
8am: Breakfast Program begins for all students, students sit under the covered hardcourt area until teacher pick-up
8:45am: teacher pick-up
8:55am: tardy bell
Afternoon Schedule
3:10 Bell signals ALL Kindergarten and 1st Grade students to be dismissed to designated areas; all other students are held in classrooms until 2nd bell. Students are escorted by staff to their dismissal areas.
3:20 Bell signals ALL 2nd through 5th Grade students to be dismissed to designated areas. Students are escorted by staff to their dismissal areas.
Bus students are held in identified areas within the courtyard until their bus arrives in the loop. Buses are dismissed in groups as students are escorted by staff and patrols to meet their bus.
3:20-6:00 Extended Day Program available with a modest fee.
Before School Program: Vero Beach Elementary offers a before school program from 7:00 until 8:15 a.m. that enables parents who need to get to work early to leave their children in supervised care. If you are in need of this service, please stop by the office to enroll your child.
After School Program: Vero Beach Elementary offers an after school program from 3:10 until 6:00 p.m. that enables parents who are unable to pick up their children when school ends to leave their children in supervised care. This program responds to children's developmental needs through the use of music and art activities and a learning environment that includes play. If you are in need of this service, please stop by the office to enroll your child.

Many activities at Vero Beach Elementary are designed as effective interventions or promotional events to acknowledge and celebrate individual and group success. Constant, sincere recognition of positive behavior reinforces good decision making in individual students and teamwork in classes. Programs that offer proactive PBS support are:
