The Arc of IRC supports and empowers individuals with special needs to achieve their life goals through supports and services that allow them to lead meaningful lives with dignity and independence. The Arc is more than a building or set of programs, it is a belief that people with special needs should not be defined by those limitations. *Every individual has their own strengths, abilities, and inherent value*The Arc promotes and protects the rights of people with special needs and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community.The Arc is the only organization in Indian River County with comprehensive programs that provide hope and support every day to special needs individuals and their families in our community. These efforts include advocacy, behavioral support, day training, education, employment support. recreation programs, as well as, residential programs, transportation and family support.Since 1975-The Arc has provided services to 200+ Individuals a year with special needs in IRC and their families. However, The Arc is about so much more than simply providing services~it is about HOPE! HOPE for tomorrow, HOPE for their future, HOPE for families of special needs individuals that their loved ones will be cared for when they are no longer able to do so.
