Dale Sorensen Real Estate announces inaugural Vero Beach Easter Parade

VERO BEACH FL/ MARCH 2017 – Dale Sorensen Real Estate, Inc., (DSRE) will host the inaugural Vero Beach Easter Parade Thursday, April 13 on Ocean Drive. The event will include a children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Humiston Park beginning at 4:00 p.m. Other free activities include face painting, the Fairy Hair lady and rock painting. The Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Bill and Mary Ann Becker, will be broken down into 3 age groups including toddlers, 5-7-year-old and 8-12-year-old. There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny, sponsored by the George E. Warren Corporation, at the DSRE Kiosk located at 3101 Ocean Drive. Other children’s activities’ sponsors include Quail Valley Golf and River Club and Riverside Café.

The Golf Cart Parade, sponsored by Golf Carts of Vero Beach, will begin at 6:00 p.m. Golf Cart Parade participants will need to meet no later than 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the PNC Bank garage at 1700 Ocean Drive. The parade route will be East on Flamevine turning North on Ocean Drive to Sexton Plaza, where the judges stand will be located. Golf carts will be judged in the following categories: Most Easter Spirit, Most Humorous, Most Original and Best of Vero Beach. Cost to register for the golf cart parade is $50 per cart. Registration can be made through Golf Carts of Vero Beach at 772-778-2278 or by email at golfcartsvb@outlook.com. Transportation of golf carts to the event can be arranged through Golf Carts of Vero Beach for an additional fee of $25.

The event will also include a fantastic “New York Style” Bonnets and Bowtie Parade following the Golf Cart Parade. Men, women and children of all ages are invited to participate in this event, with stylish or creative hats and bowties. To obtain a number to walk in this portion of the parade, participants are asked to meet at the DSRE tent at the compass-star in front of the entrance to Humiston Park no later than 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to walk in the Bonnets and Bowtie Parade. Participants will be judged in the following categories: Best Bonnet Adult Female, Best Bowtie Adult Male, Best Bonnet Child Female, and Best Bowtie Child Male. Prize sponsors to include: gift certificates from White Orchid Spa and children's gift baskets from LilyPad Vero Beach. The red carpet for the walking part of the parade was donated by Creative Carpet One. The Vero Beach Easter Parade is the brainchild of Matilde Sorensen, co-owner of DSRE. “We wanted to create a nice family event and thought this would be something the entire family could enjoy,” Sorensen said. “We also get a large number of visitors to Vero Beach during the Easter season and wanted to have an event that the entire community, both residents and visitors alike, could participate in. And any proceeds from the event goes to a wonderful organization in our community.” Proceeds from the event will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County.
