Indian River Presbyterian Church will host “The Big Bazaar” at the corner of 25th and Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce and benefits “Restoration House” a drug and addiction treatment program serving the Treasure Coast since 1997. Vendor spaces are available for both nonprofit and for profit business. Rent a 10 x 10 space to feature your business, sell gently used household items, vintage and eclectic items, collectibles, original art, handmade items and so much more. Brand name/home party type businesses are also encouraged. Vendor space is $35 and is limited so please book early. During this fun filled day, patrons may also include a Scottish Tea; a tour of the beautiful church sanctuary and view lovely faceted glass. The tours are held at 10 AM & 1:00 PM. Adding to the fun, there will be a bounce house for the kids, a Winner’s Walk and Restoration House’s “House of Treasures “ where shoppers can find gently used household items, designer pieces, household décor, and kitchen or garden items that have been donated to Restoration House to sell. All proceeds benefit Restoration House whose mission is to provide comprehensive treatment to those affected by alcoholism, chemical abuse and dependence, illiteracy or poverty in a nurturing, faith-based setting. Restoration House helps people develop a life span which is fulfilling, effective and in concert with their abilities and talents. Restoration House fills a major gap in our community by providing faith-based residential and outpatient counseling and treatment for people as they rehabilitate, educate, gain employment and become independent of government assistance. Restoration House helps them find a new way of life and reenter society as productive citizens through drug education, life skills training, academic and vocational improvement, ensuring a drug-free and self-sufficient lifestyle. They are taught to develop positive attitudes, such as high self-esteem, trustworthiness, concern for others and acceptance of responsibility.
