The concept of a farm tour is well known across the country, but new to Indian River County. The Indian River Farm Tour will allow guests behind the scenes access to three local farms plus the opportunity to interact with two more local farmers.

This farm tour is all inclusive, beginning with a farm fresh lunch at Osceola Bistro. An American-style bistro, Osceola is located in historic downtown Vero Beach. The restaurant strives to offer as many fresh ingredients from local farmers and fisherman as possible.

Encounter chickens and cows at White Rabbit Acres, where they grow crops from lettuce to turmeric, all without pesticides.

Experience true Florida citrus in the St. John's District with Schacht Groves, and follow up with a trip to their gift fruit packinghouse and farm store.

While at the Schacht Groves farm store, learn about local beekeeping with Tall Pines Apiaries and chat with Birdie Hogan about local grass fed beef and veggies.

Finally, visit the only certified organic farm in Indian River County, Osceola Organic Farm.

On Sunday, January 31, 2016, Indian River County will offer a unique opportunity for 100 area residents to get their feet dirty and experience life on a farm!

Start your day with lunch at Osceola Bistro in downtown Vero Beach, an American-style restaurant that strives to offer a wide variety of fresh ingredients from local farmers.

After a delicious lunch, a bus will pick up each guest at Osceola Bistro and head to the first of four stops.

1:30 p.m. - White Rabbit Acres - 7020 37th Street

Birdie Hogan is a father daughter team raising grass-fed beef and wholesome fruits and vegetables, as well as craft delectables, from-scratch jams, meat rubs, and Tahitian vanilla.
