After dark, this sleepy seaside town comes to life with the stories of those who lived and died here, but never moved on. The walking tours are guided by Rebecca Salinas and Vero Beach native Tom Adams, whose family has lived in the area for five generations. These expert guides carefully researched each location on the route and retell the stories that have long been forgotten by even the area's oldest residents. On the tour, you will hear dark tales of the murderous Ashley gang, pillaging pirate raids, and sailors lost at sea from three shipwrecks located off Vero's coast. However, the tours are about more than just lingering spooks and spirits. Participants will also learn the history of some of Vero’s highlight historic buildings, the chronicles of local industry, and lively accounts of some of the major events that shaped the area.
