It will be shown on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2 PM at the Majestic Theater, 940 14 Lane, Vero Beach. Girl Rising is a documentary that brings us nine unforgettable girls who were born into unforgiving circumstances. The film captures their dreams, their voices, and their remarkable lives, focusing on their struggle to get an education. Girl Rising is also a movement dedicated to empowering and achieving educational equity for girls around the world. [More about the movie on the next page] The proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales for this event will allow students in Indian River County to see this movie on their campuses free of charge. They will also fund scholarships, grants and programs for women and girls in Indian River County.
