Marching through and sleeping among Pine Cones was most certainly part of our Revolutionary War Patriots’ daily challenges. Local residents Ann Harris and Richard Hunter have successfully added an enjoyable Pine Cone challenge into their lives: they create Pine and Pine Cone art! Their creations depicting scenes from the Revolutionary War are infused with creativity and skill as they use pine tree cones, bark and wood as the primary “building materials”. This is a must see – they will display their works of art in the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens Pavilion, 2410 SE Westmoreland Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL from June 28th through July 9th during normal operating hours.
You will be impressed to see models of the Boston Tea Party, Battle of Concord, Signing of the Declaration of Independence, Liberty Bell, George Washington crossing the Delaware, and Pine Cone Patriots! Include a visit as part of your patriotic celebrations!
Time Note: Closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Sunday Hours 12Noon - 4PM.
