Vero Verse Pteronophobia

Pteronophobia

Fear of being tickled by feathers
Woe is me I’m burdened with an anxiety
That’s not at all common in any society
Its verbal representation is a strange sounding word
It’s pteronophobia, the fear of being ticked by a bird.
What’s stuffed in the pillows of any chair
Is something of which I deeply care
When as a guest I’m asked to take a seat
With soulful gaze I will beseech
Please know I’m not a nut
But before I plop down on my butt
I beg you to not mislead or deceive
Can a feather pierce your sofa’s weave?
You may think this ornithophobic and crazy
But I know a woman who can’t look at paisley!
