Indian River County, FL (Nov. 4, 2014) – Vero Vine, the fastest growing, online grapevine community of the Treasure Coast, announces that it will present Vero’s Best Cat – Photo Contest. Open to all residents along the Treasure Coast, the contest will seek to find the most “liked” cat in the region. There will be a first, second and third place prize awarded and Vero Vine editors will chooses the winners from the top ten most “liked” photos posted to Vero Vine’s Contest Event Facebook page.
Submissions can be made at any time between November 1 and 30 at 1:59 p.m. EST, 2014. Prizes will be awarded on December 1, 2014 at 8 p.m. Prizes, as of October 31, include three-hundred dollars in cash, an eighty dollar gift certificate from Paint on the Vine, and a seventy five dollar gift certificate from Ocean Grill. A twenty five dollar gift certificate for most creative photo will also be awarded. Vero Vine will announce additional prizes as they are added.
Sponsorship is also still open for this popular event, which is expected to reach more than 250,000 Treasure Coast residents. Vero’s Best Dog – Photo Contest, held a few months ago, garnered more than 250 entries and over 100,000 views, and included a photo entry of local country music celebrity Jake Owen’s dog, Merle. To submit an entry, individuals are encouraged to visit www.verovine.com where they may also subscribe for free to Vero Vine to get full access to local information including a weekly email newsletter. Once they visit the site, they can follow the simple steps listed below to enter the contest.
- Submit any cat photo to the Facebook Contest Event page. A direct link is provided to the Contest Facebook page from Vero www.verovine.com or individuals can go directly to the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/events/1520340528205164/. To upload a photo, contestants will need to make sure that they click on the ‘join’ button on the Facebook page first to gain access to post photos. If an individual does not use Facebook, they can still enter the contest by emailing their submissions to stacy@verovine.com.
- Contestants are also encouraged to post a brief comment or details with their photo, but we ask that they keep it short and tag #verobeach #verovine #catphotocontest along with their post.
- Then all contestants have to do is share the event to their Facebook wall. To do this, they simply click on the photo from the event page and copy the address (URL) from the address bar in their browser.
When individuals complete the steps described above they will be entered to win. Only one submission required for entry. No duplicates as they will be deleted. Submissions of common images found online will also be deleted. Vero Vine is looking for unique photos.
A cat must be in the photo. Contestants may choose to be in the photo along with the cat and we encourage individuals to have fun with the contest. Here at Vero Vine, we like creativity. Most creative or fun photos will be posted to the main Vero Vine wall. Keep it clean. Individuals are not required to be in the photo.
