ShrimpFest & Craft Brew Hullabaloo Welcomes Antique Car Enthusiasts

The 5th Annual ShrimpFest & Craft Brew Hullabaloo will be hosting a car show on the last day of the annual three-day fundraiser festival held on March 20-22 at Riverview Park in Sebastian. Nearly 75 classic, antique, and restored cars will be lined up along Indian River Drive from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday. Prizes will be available to winners, judged by an audience of their peers. All participants in the car show will receive a one-of-a-kind dash plate, according to event organizer Marc Gingras. Over the last four years, the ShrimpFest has raised approximately $200,000 in funds for youth sports groups and clubs in North Indian River County.

Aside from Sunday’s car show, this year’s event will include live music from local bands, shrimp booths, food trucks, other foods, a car show, children’s activities, a craft beer tasting event (at an advanced-purchase cost of $30/person for entry, $35/person the day of the event) featuring over 20 different brewers from Florida craft beermakers, and a number of vendors showcasing arts and crafts. Admission to the ShrimpFest is free. Advance tickets for the craft brew tasting (which will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 1-5 p.m.) can be purchased through Eventbrite or from participating breweries. There are a limited number of tickets available. This year’s ShrimpFest beneficiaries include Sebastian River High School’s Track & Field, Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Lacrosse, Boys’ Football, the Fellsmere Soccer Association, and the Sebastian Soccer Association.
