Local Artists Retouch Historical Icons

Phil ReidMuseum Now Closed

Train, no plane, and automobile. Are you interested in local history? Did you know Florida has the largest railroad museum in the US, right here in your own backyard? Historical treasures are a lot of fun for the whole family. Kids, parents and grandparents can pretend to be the conductor of a real steam engine.

The photo of the old steam locomotive was taken at sun up by Phil Reid. Rob Hardy’s beautifully restored 1959 Corvette attempts to taunt the old engine as if it wants to race. More Details.

The Steam Locomotive Association #253 maintains the 1924 original steam locomotive. It is owned by the Florida East Coast Railway, along with a historical railway, and transportation museum to preserve the heritage of the steam locomotive to Florida and the entire USA. More Details.
