LIVE! From Vero Beach Celebrates Its 10th Year Anniversary with Grammy Award- Winning Singer Judy Collins… Accompanied by the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra

According to Rusty Young of Music Works, Inc., the Concert Promoter and one of the Producers of LIVE! From Vero Beach, “We are kicking off our anniversary year with the same performer we began our series with 10 years ago. Yes…it is symbolic, but more importantly, we expect the concert to be one of the highlights of our tenth season.” The iconic singer Judy Collins will kick off the 10th Anniversary year slate of concerts on Thursday evening, January 19 at 7 p.m. at The Emerson Center.

The Anniversary Concert is presented by MusicWorks, In. and, Paris Productions with the exclusive sponsorship by the O’Dare Boga Group and ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. “As avid music fans, and long-time supporters of LIVE! From Vero Beach, our team jumped at the opportunity to be the exclusive sponsor of this special event.  We all hope the community comes out to enjoy this amazing singer/songwriter,” shares Cindy O’Dare and Richard Boga. The real estate professionals will also be underwriting a complimentary champagne toast in the lobby to all attendees at the concert during the pre-show hour.

In her 50-plus years in music, American singer and songwriter Judy Collins has always exhibited impeccable taste in song craft. On her landmark 1967album, Wildflowers, she curated a stunning collection featuring originals alongside songs by (then) not-yet household names such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, and adventurous selections by Jacques Brel and Francesco Landini. Her discerning palette and her literary gifts have enabled her to evolve into a poetic, storyteller songwriter. Now, in her 6th decade as a performer, Judy is experiencing a profound level of growth and prolific creativity. While she celebrates many passages of life with her lyrics, her vocals sound untouched by time. Judy’s singing shines pristinely as she eases from warm low-register vocals to soaring high tones, as if no time has elapsed since her singing mesmerized a generation on Wildflowers. “That’s a combination of good fortune, extreme luck, and hard work and discipline,” she reveals. “I do a lot to protect and take care of my voice, and I practice every day—you have to or you lose it.”

Wildflowers is the sixth studio album by Ms. Collins. It is her highest charting album to date, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Pop Albums charts and includes her Top 10 hit version of Joni Mitchell‘s “Both Sides Now.” The Vero Beach audience will delight in her collection of songs from Wildflowers, as well as some of her other favorite songs,as she is accompanied by a 30-piece Space Coast Symphony Orchestra conducted by Aaron Collins.
